LET’S GO FOR A WALK
GET FIT STEP BY STEP
There is no easier physical activity than walking: Boots on, grab your stick and off you go. If you’re walking alone, you can set your own pace. But it’s even more fun in a group.
Walking is much easier on the joints than jogging, because the impact forces involved in walking are significantly lower. This is owing to the body’s upright posture and the extended contact of the foot with the ground when walking. The way the foot hits the ground and the movement through the heel to toe, particularly on hard asphalt when walking in the city, should be gentle and not hard. The beneficial effects of walking do not depend on the speed of movement, but on endurance and the length of the walk. Walking for long periods in the wrong shoes can quickly become painful, and that’s why it is so important to choose the right shoes. Relife offers a wide range of Soft Reflex System shoes that are ideal for walking and long walks.
